Woot, what a hoot to fly this bird. Traps and launches in the PG, gotta love it.

I've literally spent 2 minutes in it, once I installed it and the new map. It's stunning in VR!

Re: F/A-18C
Spent last 3 days doing nothing but learning it. Fantastic aircraft. Looking forward to flying it with other ACG boys once my game unfucks itself (have trouble with the updater)
Re: F/A-18C
Eager to try it out myself today once I'm back home

Re: F/A-18C
I have been spending alot of time flying the Hornet. Have trained many hours staying "On Speed" for land operations and have moved on to Carrier trapping. Ive dropped a few bombs but Im far more interested in flying and mastering the dynamics of the plane atm.
Ive been reaching out to friends in the military community on procedure and tips and tricks with some success. Thus far one of the best modules in DCS for me. Some things absolutely need fixed but I dont see anything thats absolutely broken about it thus far.

Low speed behaviour... first thing to change.
But this module is very well born.

Re: F/A-18C
Bomb stores are bugged... doesnt release the quantity you have selected... also you cant jettison anything individually... only the emergency jett button works.
a bunch of others things just haven't been implemented yet, but that's already been stated.
Glad its finally out though. Its a joy to fly.

Re: F/A-18C
Been flying the hell out of this in the time I've had with a buddy of mine. We spent all weekend (when I wasn't detained ... still on break from ACG due to this stuff) just learning to land, trap, and fly on-speed. I do just fine until the last quarter mile and then things get very ... weird. Still, quite an amazing airplane.
Been having a lot of fun dripping CCIP bombs (my favorite kind of bombing) and doing some simple air-to-air.

Re: F/A-18C
DCS has been acting quirky lately (awful long waiting for multiplayer servers to load and lots of lag/jittering) but it hasn't stopped me from enjoying the fuck out of the Hornet. I love this jet and I knew I'm gonna have fun in it, and hell yeah I do. The Air-to-Air is fun even without the AMRAAMs, CCIP bombing is close and personal and most importantly - the rockets. Screaming down at 500 knots and unleashing a fury of 78 rockers straight into a melon of some poor chap with a rocket launcher is unbelievably fun. I refuse to say anything about the carrier landings though, don't even ask me about them.

How’re your carrier landings Onebad?
